Children of the Corn (literalmente, en inglés, Los chicos del maíz o Los niños del maíz) es un relato de Stephen King, publicado por primera vez en 1977.
La historia transcurre en el pueblo ficticio de Gatlin en Nebraska, EE.UU. Allí una entidad demoníaca a la que se denomina “El que camina detrás de las filas” (en inglés "He who walks behind the rows"), ejerce una poderosa influencia sobre los jóvenes de la zona a los que insta a asesinar a todos los adultos mediante rituales brutales, para asegurar el éxito de la cosecha de maíz.
La adaptación cinematográfica del relato de Stephen King fue dirigida por Fritz Kiersch y estrenada por primera vez en cines en 1984. La franquicia estrenó 7 películas más de terror hasta el 2011. Con la excepción de las 3 primeras partes, todos los demás filmes fueron estrenados directo a video casero. En el 2009 se estrenó un remake basado en el relato original de Stephen King.
